Tom Nehl Employees Volunteer For Hunger Fight

For the second year, the Tom Nehl Team at the Jacksonville Edgewood headquarters rolled up their sleeves to help kids in need by volunteering with local nonprofit Hunger Fight. Over the course of three hours, teams cycled through an assembly line to pack more than 8,000 dry ready-to-eat meals. Through Hunger Fight, these meals are given to kids in Title 1 schools to help give them access to healthy, nutritious meals over the weekend when they are not receiving meals at school.

The Tom Nehl Team loves serving our community, and is always quick to lend a hand. Even so, this is one of the most popular community service activities at the dealership. "I enjoyed it so much last year that I was thrilled to hear we were going to get to do it again," said employee Faith Porter. "It's so hard to imagine kids in our community not having access to healthy food, so if we can be a part of helping them, we're all for it!"

Tom Nehl does a number of community service projects throughout the year, including bi-annual blood drives, canned food drives, and book collections for their neighborhood elementary school.
