  • 95 new Volvo trucks will keep England?s motorways clear of snow
    Irish Commercial (Sales) Ltd has confirmed an order for 95 Volvo FE snowplough/spreader chassis to replace the Highways Agency?s winter service fleet. This is the largest new truck order ever placed by the Volvo Dealer Network in Ireland and is also believed to be the biggest-ever order for new Volvo FE vehicles.

  • 80 new Volvo FH trucks for Pawtrans Holding
    Polish haulier Pawtrans Holding has signed a contract for the delivery of 80 Volvo FH trucks. This is the second major contract signed between the companies over the past three years. The first 16 units have already been delivered to the customer and the remaining 64 trucks will be delivered by end March.

  • New measures in Portugal to prevent drink driving.
    During the past decade, Portugal has delivered a tremendous effort to reduce the number of road fatalities and can demonstrate a reduction of over 50% in that area.

  • Alcolocks as standard at Danish haulage firm
    Haulage company Fredsų Vognmandsforretning, based on the island of Mors in Denmark?s North Jutland region, has bought and installed Volvo?s alcolock in all of its trucks ? 25 in all.

    Salomeh Tafazoli of Volvo Trucks has received the Future Female Leader 2010 award from Ledarna, the Swedish Organization for Managers, and the careers network Shortcut.
