Since then we have added renovation after renovation and additional buildings and property. Most recently in 1995 we renovated an additional facility right next to our Edgewood location. Our Jacksonville store covers 10 acres in the west side of Jacksonville. In August of 1997 we opened up an additional location in Lake City, Florida. With our Jacksonville location right off of I-10 (2 miles from I-95) and Lake City between 1-75 and I-10 we have the major thoroughfares in North Florida and South Georgia covered. Nehl (founder) way back in 1958, merchandising with integrity, selling the right truck for the job and backing it up with a team of parts and service people that will keep your truck on the job. The leadership at Tom Nehl have years of experience in the truck industry to provide the knowledge you can depend on.  | Steve Bacalis (President) - Originally from Atlanta Georgia, Steve Bacalis has resided in Jacksonville since the age of seven. He attended local schools and upon graduating from the University of Florida in 1970, returned to Jacksonville and entered retailing with the May Company. He joined Tom Nehl Truck Company as a retail truck salesman in 1973. In 1979 he entered into a buy-sell agreement with Tom Nehl which was completed in 1989. Mr. Bacalis is the current President of the Rotary Club of Jacksonville and also serves on both the Boy Scout Regional and North East Florida Council Boards. He is a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award. In addition to the Boy Scouts, he is on the Board of Directors of the Salvation Army and the Florida Trucking Association, and co-chairs the millennium fund raising committee for St. John the Devine Greek Orthodox Church. He is a past chairman of the Better Business Bureau and past Board member of the Jacksonville Zoo and the Florida Bank of Jacksonville. Steve is married to Peggy Hebb Bacalis, and they have two children. Their daughter Lauren is a graduate of George Washington University and Stetson University School of Law. Their son Steven is a graduate of the University of Central Florida, and is currently enrolled in Jacksonville University’s MBA program while working with Tom Nehl Truck Company. They reside in the San Marco area and attend St. John the Divine Greek Orthodox Church. |  Parts VP | Chuck Sowers (General Manager) - Chuck is responsible for the overall operation and administration of the dealership. His main focus is optimizing all parts department activities to support our Fleets, repair shops, owner operators and most importantly our own shop! During his 30 years in the truck parts business, Chuck has been involved in all facets of the business from delivery driver to warehouse, parts counter and outside sales. Chuck also had a short stop in Service and Body shop – so he understands the customer’s needs when it comes to replacement parts. |
